The Global CBPR Forum welcomes Mauritius, the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), and Bermuda as Associates, following the Global Forum Assembly’s endorsement of the Membership Committee’s Recommendations that all three have met the conditions for recognition as an Associate.
The participation of Mauritius, DIFC, and Bermuda marks the expansion of the Forum into new regions and helps to ensure that the Forum’s privacy certifications established in April 2024 will work for not only Asia Pacific region as its origin but the global community. “We are pleased to welcome three new jurisdictions to participate in the Forum and commend their commitment to helping ensure safe cross-border data flows globally. Their participation affirms the Forum as a mechanism for multilateral cooperation and partnership to promote trusted data flows, and we will continue our efforts to expand participation,” said Makiko Tsuda, Chair of the Membership Committee.
